| COMMENTS Sitting partially hidden by the concrete barrier along Interstate 90 in Piedmont, the Sawtooth Saloon is a fun place to unwind from a hard day's work. On cool evenings it is warmed by fireplaces, but on warmer evenings the patios are open to the pleasant foothills breezes. The Sawtooth is a rustic saloon. Yes, this place looks like a tourist trap. But what business this close to the Sturgis Rally Headquarters wouldn't be looking to business off the interstate. But, this Saloon has a long history that predates the interstate and the Sturgis Rally. The remodeling has made the business more visible, but has also added space, improved the interior, and provided the modern restroom's and seating to handle the larger numbers of people. A wide range of beers, including foreign beers from Ireland and Russia, are available. The mixed drinks were real drinks as they actually had alcohol in them. The music was loud, the people friendly, and the dancing exciting. There was a wedding party taking place on this evening and everyone had a great time. Walt (Kansas) - 11/01/2008 |
