| COMMENTS Located in the historic District of Georgetown, and built over the water, Buzz's Roost is a fun stop between Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina. With a selection of beers and bar food, this place provides a cool, shaded location to watch the boats, yachts, and ships float by on the river. There were a number of colorful characters here and everyone was happy to chat. The beer was cold and the bar food was fine. Don't expect brewery quality fresh beer or fresh seafood. This is a river-front dive that is a great, fun place to spend some time. I look forward to my next visit here. Buzz's Roost has 27 domestic beer labels and 13 imports. Beers for US Major labels are $2 - $3 and imports cost $3.50 - $3.75. A pitcher of beer costs $6 - $7.5 with half-pitchers just half that amount. They have bar food, but with a seafood specialty. Some of their specials include Oysters Rockefeller $15.75 for a dozen; Oysters Cocktail $11.50 for a dozen; Peel 'n Eat Shrimp $14.75 for a pound, and low country boil for $11.75.
