| COMMENTS Front Street Brewery is definitely worth the stop. They have great beer and food. They were incredibly busy while I was there with groups of people constantly coming and going. They have several house beers and several rotators. The LUMINA LAGER is brewed in the Traditional German Lager Style and has a medium body and a smooth finish. The RIVER CITY RASPBERRY was excellent. The soft hints of raspberry in this light wheat beer allow you to enjoy the fruit flavor without overpowering the beer. The KOLSCH was well brewed as a light to medium bodied ale. The timing for this beer was excellent as its light flavor went well with the hot summer temperatures. The ENGLISH STRONG ALE had an excellent red color and a light to medium body and a bitter finish. The SCOTTISH ALE had a medium to heavy body with dark caramel tones but with a finish so smooth it simply floats off the tongue. With a 7.2% alcohol level, this smoothness fails to provide a warning as to what will follow the constant refills. Walt (Kansas) - 08/02/2008 |
